Bonsai Type

ILLUSTRATED TYPOGRAPHY

A typographic school project open brief to create a set of type and an accompanying example of application. I chose to create organic typography inspired by bonsai plants.

Inspired by a trip I took to the Chinese Gardens, I wanted to explore the man-made yet organic curvature of bonsai plant in relation to the shape of alphabets. Bonsai Type was done as a sequel to the first edition of the Bonsai Zine.
